Cartwright Announces $1,024,770 Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) Grant to Rural Health Corporation of Northeastern PA
Washington, D.C. – Today, U.S. Representative Matt Cartwright announced that the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services Agency (HHS) has awarded a $1,024,770 Health Services Grant to Rural Health Corporation of Northeastern PA in Wilkes-Barre. The funding will support community health centers that serve medically underserved populations.
“This funding will continue to provide families and individuals with the preventive care and treatment they need to live healthy lives,” said Rep. Cartwright. “Community health centers remain a crucial part of our system to provide everyone with access to affordable, quality care.
Health Services Grants are awarded on a competitive basis to grantees that have demonstrated quality care in their communities, and are overseen by HHS’ Health Resources and Services Administration Agency.
