Press Release

Scranton, PA – Today, U.S. Representative Matt Cartwright announced that the Scranton Primary Health Care Center, Inc. has been awarded a $1,498,620 grant from the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) to support critical health services to underserved residents.

“Community health centers are a vital source of timely, quality health care for disadvantaged Pennsylvanians,” Rep. Cartwright said.  “This funding will help the Center to continue providing underserved families and individuals with the services and preventive care they need to live healthy lives.”

The Health Center Cluster Grants Program is awarded on a competitive basis to grantees that have demonstrated quality care to their communities, and is overseen by HHS’ Health Resources and Services Administration agency.
