Scranton, PA – Today, U.S. Representative Matt Cartwright met with eight representatives from the U.S. Housing and Urban Development (HUD), including Regional Director Jane Vincent. At this afternoon’s meeting HUD officials revealed that the property is under contract of sale with a transfer date target of April 1.

Washington – Today, U.S. Congressman Matt Cartwright announced that the U.S. Department of Interior has made $52.3 million available for Pennsylvania in 2014– the largest amount made available to any State – to reclaim abandoned coal mines. Funds will be distributed via the Office of Surface Mining Reclamation and Enforcement (OSMRE).
