WASHINGTON – Today, Rep. Cartwright honored local small businesses as part of the 50th Annual National Small Business Week.
WASHINGTON— U.S. Rep. Matt Cartwright spoke out against the Office of Management and Budget’s Circular A-76 program yesterday. The program, which has been in existence since 1966, reviewed whether government jobs should be handled by either public or private workers.
WASHINGTON— Today U.S. Rep. Matt Cartwright announced a U.S. Housing and Urban Development (HUD) Grant in the amount of $131,007.00 has been awarded to the Wilkes-Barre Housing Authority.
The grant is to be used to assist veterans in need with shelter and health care in a cooperative effort between HUD, local housing authorities and Veterans Affairs.

WASHINGTON – Today, U.S. Reps. Matt Cartwright (PA-17), John Conyers (MI-13), and Janice Hahn (CA-44) introduced the Access to Substance Abuse Treatment Act with 22 original co-sponsors. The legislation enhances the ability of the Secretary of Health and Human Services to provide access to substance abuse treatment.
