Honesdale, PA – Today, U.S. Representative Matt Cartwright announced the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) awarded a $1,574,961 Health Center Cluster grant to Wayne Memorial Community Health Centers. The Health Center Cluster Grant provides for expanded and sustained national investment in health centers.

“I believe everyone should have access to affordable, quality care,” said, Rep. Matt Cartwright, a member of the House Appropriations Committee. “That is why I am a strong advocate of programs that enable crucial providers like Wayne Memorial Community Health Centers to continue to provide families and individuals with the care they need to live healthy lives.”

Wayne Memorial Community Health Centers (WMCHC) is a progressive multi-specialty group comprised of primary care, women’s health, behavioral health and dental sites, as well as specialty practices. Based in Honesdale, PA, they have over 65 practitioners and 300 employees. WMCHC is clinically affiliated with Wayne Memorial Health System, Inc. and is a federally qualified health center (FQHC). WMCHC offers healthcare to everyone, accepts most private insurance and medical assistance, and offers a sliding fee scale based on income.
