Cartwright Announces $3,074,309 Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) Grant to Rural Health Corporation of Northeastern PA

Wilkes Barre, PA – Today, U.S. Representative Matt Cartwright announced that the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services Agency (HHS) has awarded a $3,074,309 grant to Rural Health Corporation of Northeastern PA in Wilkes-Barre. 

“This funding will continue to provide families and individuals with the preventive care and treatment they need to live healthy lives,” said Rep. Cartwright a member of the House Appropriations Committee. “Community health centers remain a crucial part of our system to provide everyone with access to affordable, quality care.”

The Health Center Cluster Grants Program is awarded on a competitive basis to grantees that have demonstrated quality care to their communities and is overseen by HHS’ Health Resources and Services Administration agency.

Congressman Cartwright continues to be an advocate for community health centers and health equity in Northeastern Pennsylvania and throughout the country. He recognizes the important role local health centers play in providing care to underserved communities.
