Led by U.S. Rep. Matt Cartwright, more than a dozen politicians and community leaders gathered at Penn Place, 20 N. Pennsylvania Ave., to say they planned to find solutions to improve the quality of life - and reduce crime - at a development that in recent months has played host to a series of violent crimes, including a murder and a shooting that hospitalized two young girls.
Cartwright Introduces Legislation to Address Disparate Pay between Employees at Tobyhanna Army DepotToday, U.S. Representative Matt Cartwright introduced the bi-partisan Support the Wage Grade Employee Parity Act along with U.S. Representative Tom Cole (OK-4) as well as six other Republicans and six other Democrats. Specifically, the legislation would provide 1,809 Wage Grade, or hourly employees at Tobyhanna Army Depot a 1% Cost of Living Adjustment (COLA).
