Congratulations to Emma Miller of Archbald on being accepted to the United States Naval Academy!
This is a truly amazing accomplishment. On behalf of a grateful region and nation, you have our sincerest appreciation and respect for choosing to raise your hand in service to the United States of America.
Each year, I have the honor of nominating the brightest students of Northeast Pennsylvania to our nation’s military service academies.
Emma Miller was a standout applicant that I was happy to nominate. She had fantastic grades at Valley View High School (VVHS), excelled in leadership roles in sports, the classroom and the community, and has a clear desire to serve our nation.
My District Director John Blake was thrilled to be at Valley View High School with Emma, her family and VVHS staff members as Emma officially accepted her appointment to the U.S. Naval Academy.
Best of luck Emma!
