Congressman Matt Cartwright and a Dublin Ireland scholar, Luke Gibbons held a breakfast called "Meet a Nice Irish Fellow", where they discussed the Washington Ireland Program, current political issues in Ireland, the Ireland-U.S. relationship and how the U.S could help further.

“I think the U.S have been present privately in meeting with prime minister Sunak in the U.K, however I think a public statement would assist in maybe changing public opinion on what is occurring ”, Gibbons said.

“Obviously there’s a very close relationship between the U.S and Ireland. There's a lot of trade that goes on back and forth between the two nations and just always generally should always be doing things like this", Congressman Cartwright added.
