Emergency operations hub in the works in Scranton

The City of Scranton is looking to create a new city-based emergency operations center and training facility.

The proposed idea has been in the works for a little more than two years, and the city is looking at land owned by the Lackawanna Career Technology Center

Scranton is planning to create a new city-based emergency operations center and training facility. Serving as a vital hub where all decision-makers can meet to coordinate operations and develop solutions for the city

The city has received initial funding through Congressman Cartwright and is currently putting in applications for grants.
