The Economic Development Council of Northeastern Pennsylvania received a $70,000 grant from the U.S. Department of Commerce, U.S. Rep. Matt Cartwright announced Friday. The grant supports the council’s economic development strategy for the region, which includes Carbon, Lackawanna, Luzerne, Monroe, Pike, Schuylkill and Wayne counties, according to the announcement from Cartwright, D-8, Moosic. The funds are distributed through the U.S. Economic Development Administration. |
