Today, U.S. Representative Matt Cartwright announced that the Department of Transportation has awarded Northampton County Area Community College a $134,000 Commercial Motor Vehicle Operator Safety Training Grant. The funds will be administered by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA). The grant will enable the college to recruit, train and place 40 veterans at $3,360 cost per student.
