Advocates of restoring passenger train service between Scranton and New York City have delivered a short message to the federal agency that will ultimately decide whether the project is funded. We want in. U.S. Sen. Bob Casey and U.S. Rep. Matt Cartwright announced Wednesday they’ve sent letters to the Federal Railroad Administration to urge the reestablishment of the passenger rail service that ended in 1970. The letters notified FRA Administrator Amit Bose of an interest to participate in the agency’s Federal-State Partnership for Intercity Passenger Rail grant program. |
