Federal funds earmarked to replace Pittston bridges

Pittston will receive a $19 million RAISE grant to replace two bridges linking the city and West Pittston.

The funding, announced by U.S. Rep. Matt Cartwright, D-8, Moosic, and U.S. Senators Bob Casey and John Fetterman, comes from the U.S. Department of Transportation’s Rebuilding American Infrastructure with Sustainability and Equity discretionary grant program.

This project will fund the design, right-of-way, utilities and construction for the replacement of the Spc. Dale J. Kridlo Memorial Bridge and the Firefighters Memorial Bridge, including on-street bicycle and pedestrian infrastructure improvements.
