After years of trying to revive the Scranton to New York rail line, Senator Bob Casey and Congressman Matt Cartwright announced that the Scranton to New York rail line system is now officially underway after making a major step in the project.

Senator Casey and Congressman Cartwright announced that NEPA has been included in the Federal Railroad Administrations Corridor ID and development program.

The Scranton to New York rail line system is now officially underway after receiving designation from the Corridor ID program which is a major step to receiving federal funding .

The rail line will connect Scranton, New York and New Jersey.
