Works to repair Route 611 near the Monroe-Northampton county line is expected to begin this week. 

U.S. Rep. Matt Cartwright says the work will begin Wednesday. This comes the National Park Service approved the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation’s special use permit application this week.

Route 611 has been closed for more than a year-and-a-half at this point.
