A Delaware Valley High School student has become one of 17 students to receive a nomination to the United States Service Academies from Representative Matthew Cartwright. Aden Dierksen of Milford has been nominated to the United States Military Academy, Air Force Academy, Merchant Marine Academy and Naval Academy. In order to receive a nomination, Cartwright says students had to complete a rigorous application process, including in-person interviews with members of his Military Academy Board consisting of Northeastern Pennsylvania veterans and community leaders. Young adults between the ages of 17 and 22 are eligible to apply for nominations.
