Cartwright announces 1.85 million for YMCA's Wellbeing Initiative

US Representative Matt Cartwright (PA-08) announced today 1.85 million is going to YMCAs in Northeast Pennsylvania.

The money will be used to provide wellness, mental health and substance use disorder services for low-income families.

Congressman Cartwright hopes this investment increases the advocacy for mental health while putting it in a location that’s open for the community.

“You know the stigma’s always been there and we got to fight that because well being includes physical health and includes mental health and people shouldn’t be embarrassed or worried about that," said Cartwright. "If they need help, they should reach out.”
