Nine area students have been accepted to United States military service academies, including a set of twins. 

U.S. Rep. Matt Cartwright, D-8, Moosic announced the nine students, all hailing from the 8th Congressional District, via news release, with twins Gineva and James Reese from South Abington Twp. at the top of the list. 

“Recommending exceptional students from Northeastern Pennsylvania to our country’s military service academies is one of my greatest privileges,” Cartwright said. “I look forward to seeing our region’s best and brightest flourish during their college years and wish them all the best as they embark on their military careers.”
